BOOTH DISPLAY CHECKLIST

Trade show booth displays checklist

Use this checklist to turn individual display components into one clear booth rather than a collection of unrelated graphics.

Updated 19 September 2026 · Free exhibitor guide

Booth displays are easiest to plan when you separate what must be seen from what must be used. A backdrop may carry the main message, a counter may support conversations, a screen may demonstrate the product, and a QR sign may capture interest. Each item should have a defined role.

Counter and conversation area

The counter should support conversations rather than become a storage shelf. Keep the front visually clean. Put forms, business cards, chargers and backup lead sheets somewhere the team can reach without exposing clutter to visitors.

QR signs and calls to action

Give the visitor one obvious next action: scan for a demo, open a product page, request a quote or save contact details. Multiple QR codes beside each other can reduce confidence because the visitor must first decide which one matters.

Lighting and power

Final 15-minute booth display check

  1. Walk past the booth from both directions.
  2. Read the main message without stopping.
  3. Check that the entrance is open.
  4. Scan every QR code.
  5. Run the demo or video from start to finish.
  6. Remove packaging, drinks, coats and loose cables from view.
  7. Photograph the completed booth for reference and future improvement.

The best trade show booth display is not necessarily the most elaborate. It is the one that makes the offer clear, gives staff room to talk and makes the next action obvious.
